Here I keep a few notes on how I use Mastodon.
Probably quite anti-social and not what Mastodon is designed for: To
post privately, one can use “DM” mode, where a post would only be
visible to those who are @d. Although I prefer to use the
“Followers-Only” visibility, and set the account to require approvals
for following requests.
Note that the default post visibility is separately set for the web interface and each apps.
On iOS, my favorite is Tootle. I’ve being using it for years. Lately I tried the top ranking one which I forgot the name (seemed to be affiliated to mastodon.social), but it smells strongly commercialized to me, and much limited in features compared to Tootle.
